No grand children.

I have one BA degree, an M.B.A. and a M. Science Education from the University of Washington. I was married for 30 years and my husband passed away 7 years ago. We raised two children who have both graduated from college. My son is a manager for R.E.I. and my daughter works for my company. I started a company 6 years ago and currently have a national market which includes all 50 states. We sell our products on Amazon.com as well as on our own web site. We also have a government contract which allows us to market to military bases all over the world, as well as national, state and city parks.

I remember a funny "strange" event during a state debate/speech tournament when one of the students jumped out of the motel window, meaning to hit the swimming pool and instead, broke his jaw!! It was actually very frightening and as I said "funny" strange, so it sticks in my head.

This is a story about one of our fellow classmates and although it didn't happen during our school days, it is still a remarkable story. Back in the mid 90's, I was on a business trip to Switzerland and after one attempt at getting there had failed due to an ice storm, I had finally reached the last stage of my trip. I had been up all night, and I was sitting in the Charles De Gaulle Airport waiting for my connection to Geneva. Pam Pruitt startled me out of my travel stuper by asking: "Are you Vicky or Val?" I looked up and there was a face from the past. I had not seen her since June 1969 when we graduated. She was also on a business trip and waiting for her connection to Geneva. At that time, she was working for the Weyerhauser Paper Company and living in (I think Federal Way, Washington). This experience taught me just how small our world can be - 6 degrees of separation

The debate coach, Mrs. Hyatt taught me to think before I speak. She helped me grow as a contributing, responsible adult.
