MILAND, Kermit Walter

Our quiet, gentle, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, son and friend left us on August 18, 2016. He was born November 26, 1950 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota to Milton and Audrey Miland. He is survived by his wife Terry of 34 years; former wife Joan; daughters Paige and Kori of Deer Park, WA; Gina (Brendan) of Spokane, WA; Shelley (Michael) of Phoenix, AZ; and Angela (Dan) of Athena, OR; grandchildren: Charyl (Colby), Savannah (Kit), Katherine, Jocelyn, Cole, Justin, Ethan, Mason, Ella Jane, Nick (Opal), and Danielle; great-grandchildren: Caden, Cali, Ronin and Balthazar; brother Wayde (Linda); and nieces: Jennifer, Sarah and Lindsay. He is preceded in death by his parents Milton and Audrey. He will be loved and remembered by many for his quiet strength and support and infinite wisdom.

Kerm graduated from Mead High School in 1969. He was a member of the Air National Guard for 6 years, retiring from there with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Kerm was a skilled craftsman and could build anything his mind or anyone else's could imagine. He worked with cultured marble products, all phases of building and construction, was a heavy equipment operator and construction superintendent for most of his adult life.

Please join family and friends Saturday June 3, 2017 from 11-2 for a Celebration of Life for Kerm. His favorite kind of gathering was a potluck, so in honor of that we will be having a light lunch and ask you to feel free to bring something to share. A close friend of Kerm's will be speaking at 11:30 and asking for guests to share any memories they would like to share.
