I was on the annual staff that picked the quotes that went with the senior photos. I remember the reason this one was picked for Rick was that he was so fun-loving. He would have been the life of the party at our reunion.

A country boy at heart, Rick wore his FFA jacket proudly. He towered above many walking down the halls and always greeted his friends with a great big smile. He was one of the most gentle and humorous persons I have ever met. He seemed to carry with him a collection of harmless pranks that he resorted to on occasion, just to make someone smile and laugh. He showed his love of his younger brother, Andy, by talking about him often.

Growing up on Greenbluff, all of us farm kids were brothers and sisters and we all belonged to and took care of each other. He was one of my first kisses in grade school - I think under the stairs!! He was a sweet man and I loved him and his brother Larry my whole life. I'm sure Melaine feels the same way....we all grew up together. ( We lost Kenny Schimanski also to Vietnam. Such a shame. )

Melaine and I will drink a beer to you Ricky at the reunion.
